  The purpose of the SuperCentres project is to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the selected schools through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), and increase the number of students who are proficient ICT users. 

   Industry-driven initiative to mobilize volunteers and companies for LAN cabling and Internet connectivity in schools.

 

          The project provides training to all involved in education: principals, teachers, students on how to integrate technology into the classroom at selected schools.

 

        The 'Phumelela Networks' project, meaning 'to be successful', will entail the establishment of three provincial hub sites in the Eastern Cape, Northern Cape and Gauteng provinces. The partnerships involved provide the possibility of extending the project to other provinces in South Africa.
